Electric Bikes

• Passport or valid ID card 
• Minimum age: 18 years hold 
• Guarantee: 150€ cash deposit per bike
• The client must have a safe, covered and closed place to store the bicycles, mainly during the evening (garage or similar), NBIKE may refuse the rental if consider that there isn’t a secure place for the bicycles
• The customer must know and respect the rules and regulations of the road traffic regulations
• All bicycles have civil liability insurance, death or permanent disability and treatment expenses at the insurance company Tranquilidade, policy number: 0007767387.
• The customer is responsible for any damage caused to the rented goods, as well as for the total or partial loss.
• At the time of rental, a written contract is signed containing the name of the customer and place of accommodation and the period of time for the rental, and the document must be signed by the parties. 

General Terms and Conditions:

1)Rentals are paid in advance at the start of the rental period. The indicated amount includes Value Added Tax (VAT) at the applicable rate upon contract conclusion. Any fines or other expenses due for the use or possession of the vehicle will be charged to the Client. The second Party is liable for all risks inherent to the use of the vehicle throughout the duration of the contract.

2) Presenting a valid personal identity document with photo is mandatory upon rental.

3) Vehicles can only be rented to people over 18 years of age (or younger if accompanied by a parent or guardian willing to sign a liability agreement) with valid documents. Nbike declines any responsibility for damages or accidents caused and or any type of accident in which minors (under 18 years of age) are involved, it is the full responsibility of the parents or guardians.

4) NBIKE reserves the right to refuse vehicle rental to anyone who is clearly under the influence of alcohol or any other illegal substance, or to anyone who is unable to use the vehicle, as well as to anyone who has previously breached rental conditions.

5) For each extra hour beyond the duration of the contract, a fee of €20.00 will be charged.

6) Returning the vehicle before the contract expires does not imply a reimbursement of any amount previously paid for rental time.

7) Upon rental, the Client must pay a
deposit equivalent to 100% of the bicycle’s value.

8) In case of deposit, the amount will not be returned if the vehicle or any other equipment made available present partial and/or total damage due to incorrect use, regardless of who is at fault, but only if the Client refuses to voluntarily pay for the damaged parts according to the quote presented by our mechanic.

9) Unforeseen Situations and disputes: Any situation neither mentioned nor provided for in this contract shall be dealt with under the national applicable law and ordinary courts shall be competent, namely the Judicial District Court of Albufeira (Tribunal Judicial da Comarca de Albufeira).

The Client is under the following obligations:

a) To use the vehicle in a normal and cautious fashion, abiding by traffic rules.

b) To refrain from using the vehicle in a way that may compromise its performance and safety.

c) Not to sub-rent the vehicle, not to lend, assign, transfer, adapt or modify the vehicle.

d) Not to transport other people.

e) To refrain from using the vehicle in all kinds of sports competitions.

f) To immediately call NBIKE informing of any deficiency or anomaly found when using the vehicle;

g) To pay any fines, penalties, and similar expenses related to the use or possession of the vehicle during the rental period;

h) Not to use the vehicle outside the territory of the municipality where the bicycle was rented;

i) To return the vehicle is the same conditions has when it was delivered, a fee of 20€ may apply for cleanning proposes. NBike only provides City E-bikes and they must only be used for road/city cycling.

j) Due to safety reasons, e-bike and passenger may not exceed a total weight of 130 kilos, our e-bikes have a weight of 25 kilos.

k) If NBike considers that safety conditions for the equipment and the cyclist are not met, it may refuse the rental at any time.
